Are there any negative affects linked to green tea?
When Ma Huang( "bitter yellow") was created in China to help against respiratory problems like asthma and the cold, it was to be taken as brewed tea. It later made it’s way into western society as a wonderful new herbal medicine, that could also be used as a stimulant and for weight loss, marketed under the new name ephedra. Over time this great new herb craze ended up being a great new problem causing 16,000 reports of health issues and 34 related deaths from the 1990s to 2003.
For the last 1-2 years, I’ve been hearing about the wonderful benefits of green tea. Has the FDA or anyone done any research on green tea? They say green tea can help fight weight loss too; it’s got caffeine, so it’s a stimulant; and all kinds of other benefits. dejavu????

Yes, green tea has some bad things about it. It does contain caffeine and has lots of fluoride in it. The fluoride depletes the body of iodine and this affects the ability of the body to produce T3 and T4 thyroid hormones. The caffeine in green tea affects the adrenal glands negatively and can cause fatigue.
The best form of green tea is to get the green tea extract that has been pre-digested by friendly bacteria. These bacteria eat the caffeine and fluoride and remove it from the tea, leaving a very high quality tea that is really good for you.
The average Japanese will drink about 22 cups of green tea per day and they have good overall health in the country. Green tea will protect you from radiation problems and supports the pituitary gland.
good question. good luck.
